 Abstract:  The General Relief Committee was a disaster relief committee in Cleveland, Ohio, which sent tools, clothing and food to areas damaged by fire in Michigan, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois. The collection consists of correspondence, shipping orders, lists of donors, and receipts relating to the activities of the committee and of its chairman, General James Barnett.
